Some infos about us!
Our History
We started in the early 90's as a regular rock band with some success on local festivals and the dream to become famous. And as with many bands, time passed and members changed. The musical direction shifted and finally we went our separate ways. But that was not to be for everyone. Chris and Dirk stayed tuned, so to say.
Our Vision
We didn't want to let the old songs and ideas go to waste. But back then we recorded on 8 track tapes and a session in the studio was unaffordable. So the material lay in the locker for a long time. But one day we decided to keep the heritage alive. We met every few weeks and played the old material into the harddiskrecorder (a old Roland VS 880) one by one. And then came the time of digital home studios.
Our Project
With the advent of digital audio workstations, everything was suddenly within reach. What used to be the preserve of professional recording studios could now be done by anyone in their basement. We could record, mix and master ourselves, and in decent quality. Effects units that were only known by word of mouth were affordable as software versions. Nothing seemed impossible anymore. Even marketing our music was just a click away for $20 a year. And so our dream became real after all.
Our Message
We want to encourage all artists out there to realize their musical ideas and dreams. With the new digital tools, we no longer have to rely on people who think they can tell good music from bad. The world is too diverse to be left to a few people in an ivory tower. If you want it to be good, you have to do it yourself. If we could do it, you can too. But listen for yourselves.
Dirk Schleifstein
Dirk plays almost all bass parts of the songs and does the backing vocals. He also has written the most lyrics for the album and his musical ideas are the foundation of a whole bunch of songs. He is the technical guy and does all the equipment maintenance.
Christian Spießl
Chriss sings the main vocals and some of the backing vocals. He plays the guitar, the keyboards and the blues harp. A big part of the songs is based on his musical ideas, but the final song is a product of both members. Mixing and (pre)mastering is also a shared job.
